Challenge Success, a Stanford based program championing a broader vision of success for youth, is pleased to announce Maureen Brown as Program Director. Ms. Brown will oversee daily operations as well as marketing and strategic planning. Ms. Brown comes to Challenge Success with over 20 years of consulting experience in health care, financial services, and technology. As a Partner at APM, Incorporated, Ms. Brown structured, sold and managed strategic and operations improvement engagements for health care institutions, primarily university medical centers. She also directed Human Resources. Ms. Brown recently has worked for several technology start-up companies in data center power distribution and alternative fuels.
Ms. Brown worked for Philadelphia National Bank and for Citibank after graduating with a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University. Ms. Brown has extensive not-for-profit experience. Ms. Brown has been on various boards at Georgetown since 1999 and most recently co-founded the Bay Area Georgetown Technology Alliance. She has also served as a Board member at Woodside School, where she chaired the Strategic Planning Committee and co-chaired the School Bond Committee. Ms. Brown has been an active volunteer at Castilleja School and at Menlo School. Ms. Brown also served as President of Alpine-West Menlo Little League and has been a long term supporter of the Positive Coaching Alliance.
With a freshman in college and twins that are high school juniors, Ms. Brown has seen firsthand the pressure our youth face. Ms. Brown was drawn to Challenge Success because she is committed to finding solutions that will prepare youth for the challenges they face, in the workplace and in their daily lives.
