The Stanford Survey of Adolescent School Experiences is a 30-40 minute online survey that measures middle and high school students’ perspectives on homework, extracurricular activities, sleep, physical health, stress, parent expectations, academic engagement, academic integrity, and teacher support. Survey findings help schools make data-driven policy and practice decisions that improve student well-being and engagement with learning. Over 120,000 students from more than 175 schools have taken the survey since 2009.

*Schools may select either the middle school or high school survey. For schools interested in data on both middle and high school students, separate surveys must be administered.
