SUMMARY:Students’ experiences with AI: well-being and school climate
DESCRIPTION:In this virtual event with the Stanford Center for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing ( https://med.stanford.edu/psychiatry/special-initiatives/youthwellbeing.html ), Challenge Success will share student-reported qualitative and quantitative data on AI use and the connections between AI and student wellbeing, belonging, and school climate. Participants will learn to identify common barriers school mental health professionals, educators, and administrators face when developing AI policies, and recognize how those challenges show up differently across roles and communities. Participants will leave ready to draw on concrete examples of schools using community-driven, student-centered processes to develop AI policies, and begin adapting those approaches to their own school or district context.\nAbout the School-Based Mental Health ECHO Series\nThe School-based Mental Health ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) ( https://med.stanford.edu/psychiatry/special-initiatives/youthwellbeing/initiatives/schoolbasedmhecho.html ) project is a collaboration between Stanford Center for Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing alongside various school and community partners across California to improve the capacity of school mental health providers and educational partners to implement effective models and clinical supports for student mental health and wellness. Utilizing the ECHO model, we work to enhance knowledge of best practices in school-related topics, foster professional connections between providers and school professionals, and provide clinical guidance that enhances youth mental health in educational settings. The intended audience for this ECHO includes school health and mental health professionals, related school support staff, community mental health providers (including clinicians) working in schools, educators, and school/district/health/mental health administrators.\nRegister here.
